Very fun museum! My only complaint is there is so.much.stuff everywhere - some of it expensive and fragile so, I was always on alert and worried about knocking something over/breaking something. I brought my tween daughter and she had fun - but I imagine bringing younger kids would be really nerve-wracking. Overall, though, it was fun.

The experience at the Mansion on O Street for USAging's Retreat and Holiday Party was excellent and better than we could have expected. The atmosphere and setup for the retreat and Holiday Party was superb. The USAging staff gushed about everything, the food, the tour, and atmosphere. Planning the event with Madison was breeze and I would wholeheartedly recommend the Mansion on O Street for your next event.

This experience was an absolute blast! The Mansion on O is extremely quirky and charming. It's got an old, historic feel to it, and the place is littered with decades- or centuries-old items. The house feels like something out of a James Bond movie. Definitely a fun experience!

You have something magical here. It's not just "Hey, weird doors" it's something transporting. Everyone there wants to be there. Everything there fits because its purpose is known and yet everything feels like an extra puzzle piece in the box when the puzzle is already complete. I can't praise this place enough.

Was told by relatives to stop by while visiting in DC. We like history so decided to give it a try and were equally impressed with history and culture of days gone by and enjoyed the secret door hunt too.Staff go over and explain all the rules for what to expect and what not to do Liked that they have adult beverages.

We had a great time at the mansion, there was sooooo much to look at. We only found a handful of these secret doors and most were by mistake of other people entering the room while we were in there. The time flies and before we knew it another group was coming in before our group was finished which was the first negative I would report. The second is the 25 cent bag of chips are being sold for $4 and drinks are sold for I believe $13, please eat and drink before you get here or bring water with you. The hallways are narrow and some rooms are tight to go in and come out of when there are 3-4 other people coming in that same door. Overall we enjoyed it!

The Mansion is magical. My 10 year old daughter could have stayed for many more hours, but we were excited and proud to find 20 doors during our first visit. The Garden was also quirky and unexpected, and we wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the fountain and poolside. So much to see - lots of childhood memories rekindled and it was a joy to see my daughter notice even the most random of objects in a hunt for any sign of a secret door. We can't wait to come back!

What a cool experience. A very different adventure that moved between awe, excitement, and sensory overload. Our family of 4 was looking for something different do do when we came to DC for the weekend. The Mansion on O site provided it. My teenagers had fun exploring and trying to find the doors, the adults tried to speak in all the memorabilia, which is impossible to do. There is just so much. Thanks for a good time.

We had a really good time. I have to confess that I was a little skeptical about the museum visit with the "hidden rooms", but it was really entertaining. Each room is decorated in great detail, and you could spend hours if you wanted to see it all. I recommend going early to avoid too many people and losing a little of the charm. The treatment by everyone who worked at the museum was very friendly. The only "but": the prices of some objects on display. The few of us who knew the "real" price were very "overpriced", so be careful before buying any object that interests you...

It was hard to keep us with my almost-11 & soon-to-be-9-year-old grandsons. They moved so quickly through rooms searching for and finding about 26 large secret doors by their count that I made them slow down now and then and appreciate details they would have missed in the rooms. I was enthralled and delighted by everything & could have stayed hours more if my new hips would have allowed. There were teaching moments & moments to share our family lore, based on the marvelous displays and foci. We returned to some rooms a few times, especially Chucky's Room, which is decked out with Halloween scariness now. We had new experiences when we returned to any room. The two & a half hours I anticipated we'd take was right on the money. The boys gushed about their experience to their parents, who've never been, & will return with them in the near future. Hit the ball out of the park. Although different, we all went to Meow Wolf in Santa Fe in 2021 as I live near there. It's another experiential destination without the historic memorabilia and long history.

Oh and as a special treat we got to meet Ms. H! She took pictures with us and is truly an inspiration. Everyday, I see several advertisements on social media for events in DC. The Mansion on O Street stood out from the rest. I went online to purchase my ticket for the Secret Door Tour and was able to easily schedule for the very next morning. I stayed for about an hour. Upon arrival, I was greeted by professional yet very friendly staff. Watched a quick introduction video, and another host checked in afterwards to talk more in detail and answer any questions I had before starting my tour. I was then sent on my way to explore. There is no map, no guide, and I loved it!! The entire mansion is filled with fun Knick knacks, interactive displays, and fun surprises. I nannyed this tour with two kids. We loved looking for the spy items and exploring all the different rooms. One student bought a comic book he loved looking at in the superhero room. The other students loved seeing Rosa Parks's room. We did the espionage tour; we enjoyed it but it was quite difficult for both kids (8). We asked a voulenteer for a little help and she said she couldn't even give us a clue. Overall we loved the experience. Planning to now take my husband.
